Maibam Duran, whose full name is Maibam Duranbikash Singh, is a popular Manipuri singer known for his versatility in Hindi, Manipuri, and contemporary Indian music. He was born and raised in Imphal, Manipur, India, in a family with a strong musical background. His father, M. Imocha Singh, introduced him to music at a young age and encouraged him to learn songs by legendary singers such as Kishore Kumar and Mohammed Rafi.

Duran studied Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) at Kristu Jayanti College in Bengaluru, where his musical journey began to take shape. During college, he joined a band as a vocalist and started performing at various competitions and cultural events. His performances earned him several awards and boosted his confidence to pursue a professional singing career.

He gained wider recognition after collaborating with music composer Shubhodeep Roy on songs such as Ek Pyali Chai Aur Tum and Main Hoon Tum Ho. His ability to sing Hindi songs with strong vocal control helped him stand out as one of the few singers from Manipur attempting to enter the Bollywood music space. Over the years, he has also released original songs and covers through digital platforms and YouTube, building a fan base across Northeast India and beyond.
